Chobie Finch Obituary

Chobie Nysaiah Antonio Shalon Finch, AKA "Duke", "Big Man", "Big Daddy" was gifted to Christopher Antonio Finch and Tamika Shalonda Chestnut-Taylor, August 8, 1996. Chobie was a beautiful baby and grew into an even more beautiful child. He started Pre-K at the tender age of 3 years old. He attended Wichita public schools and was invited to sing in the All City Choir in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Chobie graduated through the online courses and walked with his class in 2014. Chobie was a genius. He helped many of his fellow classmates to graduate mentoring, tutoring and encouraging them. Chobie also helped friends and family to be successful and graduate from college. In adulthood Chobie worked in several call centers where he thrived because of his gracious and very helpful disposition with his customers. He found his niche in the work force which was "people". Chobie loved people and he made you love him back, with his out of this world humor, beautiful teeth, sweet spirit, and his wonderful angelic voice. Chobie began working in home health care with his maternal grandmother Josephine T. Bengie. Their relationship along with his grandfather Bobby G. Walker flourished. Chobie and Bob would always joke around with his grandmother, cracking jokes and enjoying one another's company. Chobie began reaching out to his father and two brothers, Chris and Lo. He began spending time with them which grew an awesome bond, something Chobie always desired. Chobie absolutely loved children. He loved attending "The Royal Family Sleepovers" where even the adults could be themselves, let loose and have fun. So many memories were created, so much lost never to be regained, but we Thank you for sharing Chobie with us. Chobie Ny, you will truly be missed. Heaven gained another Angel January 5, 2020.
