Samuel Moore was born on April 11, 1943 in rural town in Mississippi.
Samuel lived in Indianapolis, IN, before settling in Kansas City. In 1959, he met his soulmate Yvonne Union. In 1964, he married Yvonne and raised three daughters.
He was a hard worker and provided for his family. He retired from Greystone Graphics in 2000. His personality was larger than life. Samuel was generous, kind and full of life. He had friends from all walks of life. He truly believed in getting to know someone based on their deeds and not their station in life. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each child, grandchild, great grandchild had a nickname and special relationship with him. His presence provided calm and a feeling of safety for all that were around him.
Samuel Moore, age 75, peacefully transitioned into his next stage in life at Kansas City Hospice in Kansas City, MO on Tuesday, April 11, 2019. His battle with Aplastic Anemia came to an end.
Survivors include his children Kenneth Moore, Tandra Moore, Anitri Moore and Nichelle (Jonathan) Barton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Samuel L. Moore, KaShauna C Spencer, Shardae S. Moore, Robert L. Woods, JR., DeAndre T. Irvin, Erica D. Moore, Eric L Hendrix, Jr. and his honorary brother Raymond Gaines,. Last, but not least, he leaves behind countless friends, neighbors, and his buddy Thomas the cat. Samuel was preceded in death by his spouse, Yvonne, his mother and father and siblings.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 " So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
