Bobbie Lee Nelson was born April 1, 1955, in Kansas City, KS, to Maude Nelson and Emmit Morgan. Bobbie attended and graduated from the Richmond, MO public school district in 1974. Late in life he got his trade as an auto mechanic technician in Kansas City, MO.
After graduation he worked for several different companies. Once he realized he had the natural ability to fix or instruct someone on how to fix just about anything he decided to become self-employed. He was very intelligent and to be able to speak with everyone that came across his path about anything.... Bobby never met a stranger. Many people though of him as a real-life MacGyver. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and playing chess.
As years went by, he met and married Marcia Nelson (Roberson) where they brought their family together and was blessed to have five children and 12 grandchildren.
Preceding Bobbie in death were Maude Nelson (mother), Emmit Morgan (father), and two sisters Lola Williams-McKinney and Patsy Nelson-White.
He leaves to cherish his memory and continue a legacy: his wife Marcia Nelson of Kansas City, KS, 5 daughters Nicole Goode (Zach) of Liberty, MO, Sha'Nae Murphy (James) of Kansas City, KS, and BriAnna Nelson of Shawnee, KS, Alisha Brooks of Roeland Park, KS, Lakeisha Williams of Kansas City, KS, sister Gwendolyn Sherman of Kansas City, MO, brother Pastor Jerry Nelson (Kandi) of Kansas City, KS. He has 12 grandchildren Jayvyn Goode, Kimora Goode, Jaylen Gray, JaShon Gray, JaCari Murphy, Jaxston Murphy, Dayon Brooks, DeAsia Brooks, DaShaun Brooks, Princess Williams, Precious Williams, and Patience Williams, and a host of family and friends.
