Bona Dozier Obituary

Bona was born on September 1st, 1952, the second of five daughters of John and Mattie Gray which preceded her in death. Bona was raised Catholic and attended Catholic school, graduated from Lillis High School in 1970, where she played the tuba in band. Bona married Freddie Moore on February 14th, 1972 and gave birth to a son, Freddy Lee Moore II. This marriage ended in divorce. In 1973 Bona met Carl Andrew Dozier and their love produced a daughter, Khadejia Tyesa. Bona and Carl married on April 1st, 1985 and enjoyed 39 years together. Bona received her culinary certificate from Area Vocational Teaching School (KCKCC) in 1999.

Bona was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great grandmother. A God fearing woman, she joined Word of God Christian Center in 2012. She was made church mother and Pastor Holmes adopted her as his own. Bona loved watching mystery movies and shows, like Columbo and Monk. She would tell her grandkids and great grandkids that she loved them to infinity and beyond. She lived hard and loved harder.

Surviving her are beloved husband.
