Bre-Annan Veneice Adams was the eldest of five children born to Ricky and Felecia Adams on May 13, 1979, at 6:02 P.M. in Wichita, Kansas. She would be known throughout her life as Bre. She received her wings on August 30, 2020 at 8:51 A.M.
Bre had an outgoing personality and was friends with many. Growing up Bre was involved in many social activities. She was a cheerleader for the Wichita Golden Bulldogs Football Team, she volunteered at the American Red Cross and for the United Methodist Food Bank. Bre attend Wichita North High School, where she would go on to graduate as a Redskin with the Class of 1998.
Bre had a passion for children and her love started at a young age. She was determined that all children have the best that life could offer and that was a clear vision until her last days.
Bre would become involved in rearing her toddler cousin Demitri Dewayne Vaughn in her teenage years and loved him like he was her own. In 2004, she would be blessed with her own beautiful baby girl, Ashanti De'ann Anderson and would raise them both as siblings. Her goal was to ensure that they were the best that they could be. She would constantly offer guidance and directions when they asked, as a mother should. Bre would ensure the bond with her daughter was strong and would have many mother/daughter dates and spa days.
Bre was a hard worker and it showed through her work. She was employed at the age of 15, by Trinity Daycare and Preschool and worked there for over 20 years off and on. She also worked at various childcare centers around Wichita. She found her niche at Lakeside Academy as a Youth Counselor working with young men. She would tell stories about the breakthroughs she would have with certain young men and they would later tell stories of how Ms. Bre helped them overcome an issue or conflict. She was always known as the person that had made a great impact in their lives.
Bre was a life long member of New Covenant Church up until the time she went to be with the Lord. She was a member of the youth choir, the adult choir, worked with the youth, and was on the hospitality committee and was always ready to be involved when asked.
Bre is proceeded in death by her grandfathers; William Thomas, Maurice Knight, Sr. and Van Adams Sr.; grandmother, Naomi Knight and godmother; Mary Gamble.
Bre leaves behind to fulfill her legacy, her daughter, Ashanti De'ann Anderson, Demitri Dewayne Vaughn; her parents, Ricky Sr. and Felecia Adams; sisters, Nikki Dawn and Tiffany Lynne Adams; brothers, Rickey Adams Jr., and LaDon Williams; grandmother, Geraldine Adams-Wright; godparents, Charles Mason and Carolyn Penn; 11 nephews and nieces, 3 godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
