Dennis Wayne McDaniel, Sr. was born October 11, 1959 in Kansas City, KS to Henry and Chiree McDaniel.

Dennis grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1978. After graduation he went on to attend Wichita State University.

Dennis was an amazing athlete. Loving baseball and fitness. He also briefly played for the NY Mets Double A Baseball Team.

Dennis was employed with Sunshine Biscuits and The Shawnee Mission School Districts Board.

Dennis was united in marriage to Linda McDaniel (Lamaster) on June 9, 1983.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a current member of Greater Pentecostal Temple, Kansas City, KS, under the leadership of Bishop Marvin Donaldson.

Dennis enjoyed METV, Sanford & Son, and Westerns. One of his favorite scary movies was Candy Man, which he loved watching with his daughter, Whitney. He loved laughing and making jokes. Dennis loved riding, listening to music and hanging on 10th Street with June and the Fellas.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Chiree McDaniel, wife, Linda McDaniel, brothers, Melvin, Henry McDaniel and Eddie Jenkins, son, Michael Lamaster, and his sister, Arjead Gates.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory, his sons: Dennis McDaniel Jr. (Lexi), Glen Lamaster, Alonzo Lamaster, Damien Childress, his daughters: Whitney McDaniel and Charton Garner (Deondre), four grandchildren: Dennis, Marlon, Alexia, and Layla McDaniel and on the way. His best friend Deotis, a special friend, Karen Justice, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
