Good morning. We have arrived here in our Humvee for permanent change of duty station.
For us military people that means we are moving to a new place to a new duty station to work. For Captain Domonique (Nikki) Antoinette Brown McGeachy and her side kick Jerel Damiano McGeachy Jr. as they change from their earthly duty to their permanent change of duty station in Heaven. I can hear her say captain McGeachy and my side kick are reporting ready for duty.
Nikki started serving the Lord at an early age at Mt. Zion COGIC in Manhattan Kansas, Church of Deliverance, Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City, Kansas. Gloryland Harvest in Radcliff Kentucky. Simon Temple AME Zion Fayetteville North Carolina, at the time of her death she was under the pastoral care of Asbury Mount Olive United Methodist Church Topeka, Kansas.
Domonique (Nikki) Brown McGeachy was born December 10, 1985 in Topeka Kansas to Michelle Dane Smith. She attended Head Start and Kindergarten in Topeka Kansas. Nikki attended several schools in Manhattan and Junction City and graduated from High School in Fort Knox, KY. Nikki graduated from the University of Kentucky in Lexington Kentucky. She also completed her Masters of Science in Nursing with University of South Alabama Mobile. Nikki was scheduled to graduate with her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) May 2024 from University of South Alabama Mobile.
During Nikki's high school and college years she was a distinguished athlete excelling in volleyball, basketball, track and field. Nikki also maintained a GPA of 3.85 throughout her primary college education.
Nikki was a member of Zeta Phi Beta and was honored to meet her Soror Cheryl Underwood personally, she also supported both the American Nurses Society and Black Nurses Association. Nikki was passionate about domestic violence and wanted for herself and others to be whole and healthy. Nikki served her country in the United States Army as a Registered Advanced Practice Nurse.
Nikki was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents R.L. Richardson, Mary E Dane, Billy Joe and Elrena Peoples. Uncle Kenneth Cade, Robert and James P. Richardson. Aunts Lora Jean Peoples Wooten and Janet Lee Peoples Castillo.
Nikki is survived by her Parents Billy Ray and Michelle Dane Smith. Her grandmother Ella Mae Smith, sisters Zariah Myles and Tania Kilkenny (Aliyah and Kendall Ivory).
Goddaughter Mya Harrison. Aunts Marilyn Crowder, Marcia, and Vivian Dane, Dedria Dane (Anthony) Floyd, Christine Cade, Evelyn Curls, Christine Freeman, Mary Pops, Linda Henderson (Walter).
