George W. Dickson was born on February 14th, 1933 to Anna Scott Dickson and Eustace F. Dickson in Vian, Oklahoma as well as 5 other siblings Billie Dickson, Frank Dickson, Jimmie Dickson, Earl Dickson and Bernice Dickson whom all proceeded him in death. As a boy George enjoyed being with his family and celebrating life and learning all he could from his uncles and his father as well. At a very young age he learned to work and support himself, he joined the Army and exited with a honorable discharge. George also became a father for the first time in 1953 with the birth of his eldest son and 4 other children throughout the years. George made tough choices in those days including leaving all his children behind to pursue a career with Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington. When he later met his now ex-wife Betty Dickson they were married and raised his stepson Micheal Davis. George retired in 1995 as a welder/long shoreman. George passed away December 28th. 2019 at the age of 86. He died peacefully within the comfort of his home in Wichita, Kansas with his beloved daughters Dorothy Baker and Carolyn Dickson; stepson Charles Johnson and granddaughter Sade Oliver by his side. Also proceeded in his death, daughter Joyce Dupree. He is survived b his son Joel Andrews, Dorothy Baker, George Dickson, Jr. and Carolyn Dickson all of Wichita, Kansas. 10 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
