Gloria (Lee) Mayfield

Gloria Mayfield passed away on October 15th, 2024 at the age of 75. She was born on August 4th, 1949 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a proud alumni of Douglass Elementary, Church of Our Lady and Wyandotte High School.
Gloria met James Mayfield Sr., whom she married in 1980 in Kansas City, Kansas. They were happily married for 41 years. Gloria was an involved member of Metropolitan Baptist Church, servin as an usher for many years. When she wasn't with family, Gloria spent time working at General Motors, from where she retired in August of 2006.
Gloria had a huge love for shopping and traveling, but a bigger love for her family.
She is survived by her children; Angela McCoy and Sons Alvin Lee McCoy, Jr. (Gelena), Clayton Mayfield and Clifton Mayfield. Siblings; Reverend David Lee, Melvin Lee (Monica), Steve Lee, Nathaniel Lee, Freddie Mae McDaniel (Nathaniel), and Arvenia Ford (Greg). Grandchildren and Great- Grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; Freddie and Ruthie Lee, her spouse; James Mayfield, Sr., brothers; O'Neal Lee, Maurice Lee, and Sylvester Lee, and granddaughter Whitney B. McCoy.
