Hellena Green was born in Eudora, Arkansas on May 18th, 1948 to Mammie Lee Ford and George Black.
Hellena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rev. Aril Green Sr., son Aril Green Jr., and daughter Lenora Douglas.
Hellena attended Eudora High School. She worked at Eudora's Garment Factory as well as other great job opportunities, prior to her final career a few years ago as a Home Health Nurse.
Hellena was a home Health nurse who served in the Kansas City metropolitan area for a number of years. She really enjoyed serving and helping others.
Hellena passed away peacefully in her home on July 31st, 2023 in Gladstone, Missouri.
Hellena is survived by her children: Zachary Green (Melanie); Lorrie Green, Trasey Green (Kendra); Carnell Green, Denise Alexander (Terrain) and Reginald Green. She also has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters.
Hellena was a true warrior of God (Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things in him who strengthens me." This was one of her favorite scriptures. She devoted her life to "Giving God the Glory." Her faith was unwavering. She shared and testified to everyone she came in contact with about the goodness of God! She served faithfully in the house of God for many years on various committees/boards. Hellena's memories and mentorship will forever be cherished!!!
