Homer Eric Salton was born in Wichita, Kansas to Homer David and Barbara Jean Salton on April 15th, 1957.  He attended Wichita Public Schools and graduated from Wichita Heights High School.  Homer met Bernadine in 1987 at a friends house across the street from her parents home.  He would follow her all over the house saying, "you got some meat on you", and wanted her phone number.  The were soon married and to this union a son was born, Eric Eugene Salton.

Homer retired from Beech Aircraft after 18 years of service.  Later in life Homer was a mail driver for Wichita Postal Service and various other jobs.  Homer became a member of St. John Church where he was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Henry Moore.  Homer loved to go fishing and playing he blues on his guitar.  He loved joking with his grandkids and calling them funny names.  He loved to cook and make a mess in the kitchen after midnight.  He could make a mean squash meal and would wake everybody up!
