Linda "Robinson" James, 72 was born on November 17, 1949, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Pauline Weathers and Eddie Robinson.
She died peacefully on October 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Ocie Robinson; brother, Willie Weathers; and son, Phillip James.
She is survived by her sisters, Pearl Watson of Kansas City, Kansas and France Henderson of Omaha, Nebraska; niece, Rosalind Nash (Donald); nephew, David Watson, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
She gave her life to Christ and was a member of Peace and Fellowship Community Church under the leadership of Pastor James Drew Jr.
Linda took great pride in being a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County, Kansas. She received a Bachelor in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas (KU), and she was a die-hard fan of all things KU sports. She held positions for a number of local employers, including Gill-Hodges Drug Store, Internal Revenue Service, Thompson Hayward Chemical Company, Kansas City Power and Light, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
She was an avid bowler for over 50 years and a member of Midwest Guild Bowling, Inc., where she served as their National Secretary. Being a member of the Guild allowed her to travel to many cities to compete in bowling tournaments.
There was a private disposition.
