Margaret King was born December 15, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the sixth child born to Charles Sr. and Thelma Allen. Both preceded her in death.
She received her education in the Kansas City Public Schools.
She married her first husband, Jessie Turner Sr., in the early 1940's, where she had two children out of the marriage, Jessie and Sherlyn Turner. The marriage later dissolved.
Her early employment was the Sunflower Ammunition Plant, and later moved on to be employed by Wyandotte County Health Department. Later in life she was employed as a teacher for the Head Start Program where she retired.
Her second marriage was to Alfred M. King, in 1983. They remain together for over 30 years until his passing. That is when she became part of the Catholic Church.
Margaret was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, who loved to spend time with her family.
Margaret departed this life, May 29, 2022.
She is preceded in death by both her children, Jessie, and Sherlyn Turner.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her grandchildren, Jerome (Alecia) Turner, Maurice (Alice) Turner, Charles Turner, Adrion Jones; Niece, more like a daughter, Janet Pilcher; her siblings, Richard Allen, and a host of great-grandchildren: Hazel Turner, Anthony Coleman, Sibyl Robinson, and Shardale Roake and many, many great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends she loved dearly.
