Maurice D. Hunter

Maurice Dewey Hunter Jr was born May 28, 2019 1989, to the union of Maurice and Angela (Smith) Hunter in Kansas City, Kansas. Maurice accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Timothy Baptist Church 2400 Garfield Kansas City, Kansas by Pastor Louis D, Sipple. Maurice, was educated in USD 500 School District. Kansas City Missouri School District, and Shawnee Mission Kansas School District where he met lifelong friends and acquaintances. 

Maurice was brite, articulate and outgoing, a definite people person with a passion for basketball. He was endowed with the gift of Gab and according to his beloved elder sister, he could talk the stripes off a Zebra, and sell them back. Maurice was strong minded, hyper, and yes a bit rebellious. His heart was always toward his family. He nurtured and cherished many children in his lifetime and cared for them as his own. He shared an unbroken bandwidth his father, brothers and the cousins he grew up with. He was a great person to have known and when he was around you definitely felt his presence. He was proud to be a "HUNTER BOY",. He was a brother, an uncle, and friend to many. He was the beloved "Baby Boy" of a praying mother, and the son of a Father whose genetics are undeniable. He will be greatly missed yet never forgotten.

Tyrece Hunter of Kansas City, Kansas. Five Uncles: Darrell L. Abernathy(Tina) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Billy Hunter Jr of Kansas City, Missouri; Donnie Hunter of Topeka, Kansas; Everett Hunter (Tracey) of Kansas City, Kansas; Otis Harris Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas. Five Aunts: Renita Goston (whom precedes him in death), Bernice Ealom (Leon) of Kansas City, Kansas. Gayle Boyer of North Dakota; Kimberly Hunter of Kansas City, Kansas. Angela Hunter, of Kansas City, Kansas. Nine Nieces: Mi'yhuana, Monyha, Moriah, Ma'liviah, Malaysia, Kierra, Mikaila, Royalti, and Loyalti. Three Nephews; Marcus Jr., Major IV, and Malachi. His Maternal Grandparents: Hattie Lee Goston and Arthola Smith precede him in Death. His Paternal Grandparents: Sandra K. Harris and Billy Hunter Sr. precede him in death.
