Nicholas Tyrone Sims

Nicholas Tyrone Sims was born April 3rd, 1994.  He graduated f rom Wichita High School in 2012.  He attended Pittsburg State on a football scholarship, later transferring to Wichita State University and majored in Psychology.  Nick as has he was affectionately called known, started playing football as an adolescent and lettered in varsity football and won a state championship with his high school team.  He medaled in the Jr. Olympics in the 4x1 event.  Nick was a loving brother. HIs sisters were his best friends, and he was a loving uncle.  He took great pride in being a part of his nieces and nephews life.  His nephew Noah, was like a son to him.  Nick found a hobby in rapping and used that as a way to express himself.

Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Sims and Cleave Sims and paternal grandparents, Rose and Carl Valentine.  He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother and father Berneice and David Dixon; and his father, Byron Valentine (Portland, Or); sisters: Tiara Willis and Mary Sims; brother, Zachary (Ashely) Sims, step-brothers and sister Brandon Valentine, David Dixon Jr. and December Dixon: nieces, Makiayh and Brylea Davis; nephews: Gabriel and Noah Willis, Maddox and Mason Sims and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
