In the year of our Lord 1957 on November 6th in the city of St. Louis, state of Missouri, the lord saw fit to bless Alexander Harden and Vernita Anthony with a son they named Oliver K. Anthony, a son that they loved and cherished. His parents, maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Oliver attended the St. Louis Public Grade School, until his family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, in the year 1970. Oliver was and a very energetic young man. He loved running track while attending Northeast Jr. High, graduating from the Wyandotte high school in May 1976.
Oliver met in February 1975, Miss Shirley Lowery, and oh boy did the love arrows fly. They had 8 beautiful children, a lasting love until death did them apart. Ollie Dog, as he was sometimes called by his friends, but well known by his family as bay bay, loved fishing, shooting, pool, and loved engaging with his family and cherished his grandchildren, talking to his family out of town on the phone and playing with his dog and listening to music and dancing.
Ollie Dog was the kind of person if you met, you could not help but love him. Oliver, being raised in church all his life decided to join, with his wife, Shirley, to Kansas City Kansas Community Church and was baptized in 2019 under the auspices of Bishop Charles Colfield. God called Oliver home on December 1st, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
