Born to Sidney Rolls Sr. and Barbara Hawkins on May 16, 1948, Sidney attended the KCK Public Schools
Sidney’s true love was with his family and friends. When it came to them he was always there, and he loved spending time with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He demonstrated his dedication by actively responding to the needs of whomever may have asked. He loved sports, whether it was football, basketball or baseball. He played Shortstop and Pitcher for The Enterprise and The Purple Knights in the late 80s early 90s where he was considered the most valuable player. Sidney was always full of life and touched everyone around him with nothing but positive vibes. It is that consistent demonstration of dedication that caused more than a few to love and respect him.
On June 1, 2019 he was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, son Sidney Rolls III; stepson Troy Hunter Sr. and special aunt Dora Lee Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Bernice Rolls of KCK; two brothers Alfred D. Hawkins, Fort Worth, TX; Edward Vincent Hawkins, KCMO; One sister Felicia A. Wroten, Shawnee, KS; three daughters Andenise Moore KCKS; Olivia Rolls, Dallas, TX; Ashley Rolls, KCKS; two sons Vincent Rolls (Kathy) KCKS; Derrick Rolls KCKS; Two stepdaughters Jurikiea Hamiliton & Meeka Hunter, Dallas, TX and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
