Ms. Tonnella Janeen Hardy was born June 29, 1992 in Kansas City Kansas, to Nanette Ray Hardy. She was an only child. She was preceded in death by her biological mom at the age of eight days old. Her maternal grandmother, Ella Johnson, maternal grandfather. Tommie Johnson, maternal great-grandmother Ola Mae Miliage, and paternal grandmother Ora Beamon Anderson also preceded her in death.
Tonnella accepted Christ at a very early age. She was a member of Sound Word Christian Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of Pastor Clyde W. Rice.
She received her education in her early years in the Wyandotte County School District and later moved to the Grandview School District where she graduated from Grandview High School. Tonnella continued her education at Northwestern Missouri University studying psychology, Metropolitan Community College Longview, and Heritage College where she received her Pharmacy Technician License.
Tonnella began her career at CVS Pharmacy as to Pharmacy Technician. She left CVS to work for United Scripts. She was also a part-time employed at Charlie D' Seafood and Chicken. She ultimately returned to CVS where she worked diligently, even through many hospital stays, dialysis visits, and paining body. She always greeted her customers by last with a huge smile.
Tonnella enjoyed reading, writing, bowling, swimming, and most of all traveling. She also loved art, particularly beautiful tattoos, which she displayed all over her body. . . She enjoyed mothering her brothers even having a tattoo on her arm that read, my brothers-keeper. Family trips was one of the highlights of her life. She absolutely loved all of her nieces and nephews and was a huge advocate in their education, attended all of their many outing and activities. Shopping was an absolute must. She often encouraged everyone that came across her path to go for their dreams, be the best, keep pushing, in her often-said words, "You can do it baby." Her huge smile was contagious.
She departed this life on January 8, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She leaves to cherish her memories, her Mother, Yolanda Holman, Step-Father Ellis Holman (Grandview Mo.), brothers Anthony Yancy (Kansas City Missouri), and Sheldon Phillips (Kansas City Kansas), God-sisters Trynette Miller and Nancy Guerro. Four nieces, Priska Rhone, Tanasia Phillips, Melody Yancy, Music Watson. Six nephews, Anthony Yancy Jr., Xavier Rhone, Tayvin Phillips, Semaj Phillips, Lawrence Yancy, Ricco Phillips. Aunt Loraine (California). Special friend, Favour, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
