Willie "Witt" T Rogers 73 of Kansas City, Kansas departed this earthly home and entered his heavenly home on March 11th, 2024, at Riverbend care center
Mr. Rogers was born July 23rd, 1950, to Johnnie Mae McGraw and Offie "Doc" Rogers in Preston, MS. where he was born, raised and attended the local elementary high school.
In 1971 Willie moved to Kansas City, Kansas. In 1975 Willie married Geraldine Hunter and they were married for 17 years, together for 49. To this union one son, Willie Jr. was born. At this time
Willie began his employment with the USD 500 from 1975 until he retired in 2005 serving the Kansas City Kansas Public School District for 30 years.
Willie became a member of Mount Olive B.C. under the leadership of Reverend Charles Morgan where he was baptized and gave his life to Christ.
Willie loved to fish and loved being around his family and friends. He also loved playing dominos. Willie was crazy about his brother and sister in laws.
Willie preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Virgil Clay Rogers, Otis Warren, Roy Rogers, Ramond "Nick" Rogers, Leonard Rogers, Edward Rogers and Alvin Rogers
Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his #1 and only son Willie T. Rogers, Jr (Leslie), his brother Edward Rogers, Long time companion, Geraldine (Rogers), Hunter, sister; O'Weda Love, three
granddaughters; De'ja Rogers, Myesha Mitchel and Shawnesha Clayborn, three great granddaughters; and one grandson; De'Troy Rogers.
